Galaxy S8 and S8+

Disclaimer : This is not a sponsor post. This post is just my own opinion for the product.

The new S8 is another break through product from Samsung. The daring decision to remove the home button, bezel free and the introduction of iris scanner.

From their yearly trend of upgrade, there will be an improve in the processor, battery, camera, screen size and display resolution.

In S8, they have increase the screen size to 5.8″ and 6.2″ for S8 and S8+ respectively. With the increase in screen size, they still ensure that the size of the phone is designed more comfortable usage and handling thanks to the bezel free design and edge to edge display. With such display, the phone is easy to grip and handle. However, some may find it harder to reach the top of the screen when your hand is smaller as the phone is longer.

Display resolution in the S8, I would say its superb. It is really so sharp and real giving you each details and an immersive experience especially if you are watching movie or videos on your phone. Samsung never fail in the display with their Super AMOLED display. In fact, this time the display is Quad HD + Super AMOLED display.

For the processor in Asia, it uses Samsung’s own Exynos 8895 chipset paired with a 4GB ram which this improve the performance level. This allow the phone to run faster, download faster and load faster. I’m not really the tech geek person so I can’t say much about the processor.

With better display and processor, the battery plays an important role in ensuring that the phone continue running. Their battery capacity is 3000 mAh and 3500 mAh for S8 and S8+ respectively.

In your everyday life, the phone will always be with you. The most used function is the camera to capture the memories. The S8 increased the megapixel for their front camera to 8MP and kept their rear camera to be 12MP. Their phones are known to taking better picture under low light condition. With the dual pixels installed, its focus quicker and allow you to capture that moment clear. In their design side, they have also designed their rear camera to sit in to the phone completely making the back of the phone flat and smooth.

Above are some of the specs shared about the S8. I am actually an Apple user using the iPhone 7+. The S8 is really a good phone that I would recommend but if I will to purchase the phone, I would stick to my iPhone currently. As I usually hope to have a bigger change if I will to change the phone. With the outstanding performance on their S7, I wanted to change to their Note7, however due to unforeseen circumstances, they have to stop the sales of Note7. But now with the release of S8, I’m looking forward to what Samsung could bring for their Note8 which should be release in Fall based on their trend.

There are a lot deeper reviews and more specification out there in the web. This post is use a simple sharing of the phone as my fate with Samsung is actually quite special, thus I choose to share about S8.

As mentioned, I not a tech geek and still new in writing such blogs, do comment or correct me if any mistake was made along the way.
